Ipanema Beach features hot sand and warm waters for anyone who enjoys sunbathing or amazing views of the ocean. For those who enjoy a bit of history, the Palacio do Catete is formerly a palace that was transformed into a residence in 1889. This attraction now features a museum with art, furniture and presidential memorabilia.

Asia in Rio? Of course! Asia, Rua Almirante Alexandrino 256, opened its doors in April of 2008 and features great service, excellent Asian inspired cuisine and reasonable prices. Confeitaria Colombo, Rua Gonçalves Dias 32, pays homage to the café culture of cities such as Vienna and Paris and features a large assortment of sweets, savory snacks and tasty meals. For traditional South American cuisine, Porcão, Av. Infante Dom Henriques s/n, offers culinary debauchery at its grandest. The menu includes one price for all-you-can-eat, gorge yourself dishes that are brought to you by an army of waiters.
